Learning a new language is not easy. Requires hours of study. Daily contact with the language. What makes it very hard.
And depending on where you study, you will only learn phrases that nobody use during the day to day.

I can not say that Portuguese is easy. Even if the natives hinder so many rules of grammar.
(>_<) More I can say that is a beautiful language. Half said, half sung. And to study Portuguese in Brazil, you will have the opportunity to know the people very friendly.
